About

Hi! My name is Meanne, a Pinay Expat who is currently based in the U.A.E (and somewhere in between). Married to a wonderful Indian/Khmer. A homeschooling mum to a charming 10yr-old girl. A homebody by nature and an improving cook (thatโ€™s what my husband says)๐Ÿ˜Š.

In here, you will read topics mostly about my family, our homeschooling journey, our expat experiences, thanksgiving, and everything else I may find interesting and informative to share. I’m still navigating my way to being a better writer (hoping to), so please bear with some oversight. I write because more often, my thoughts are better expressed in words (^_-).

Being an expat for more than a decade, I have learned to adapt and adopt to my so-called ‘temporary shelter’. In the meantime, we are gratefully hanging around until it is time to move on to our next destination.

This blog is my โ€˜me-timeโ€˜, the symbol of my โ€˜simplified-livingโ€˜, and my connection to a โ€˜world outside of mineโ€˜.

Welcome aboard!

I’m an expat as long as I need to; but my nerve strongly tells me that ‘earth is not my home’!

    1. Hi there! My family and I are currently based in the UAE. Sorry for the “puzzles ‘. I’m still collecting my thoughts together in the direction my blog is heading๐Ÿ˜Š. I just want you to know how much I enjoy reading your posts in Home schooling your four boys. I am encouraged โ˜บ!

      1. Oooooh! Okay. Thank you for the explanation. I knew from the “expat” part that you were transplanted. ๐Ÿ™‚ Thank you so much for reading. I really enjoy connecting with homeschool moms. It makes the world feel smaller. My husband spent 3 days in UAE in 2003 or 2004, I forget. He enjoyed his vacation there.

  1. hi or hey! I also checked out your blog. Maybe I’ll have some insights if ever I would be an expatriate too, in the future. This blog is really helpful. Thank you for your feedback on mine. So appreciated. ๐Ÿ™‚ x
